What makes a life meaningful? Can money really buy happiness? Can we have good lives without art or music? Is online communication making us lonely or bringing us together? These are topics that the Good Life Community Discussions seek to explore. Offered by the CWU EthicsLab in partnership with the Ellensburg Public Library, the monthly discussions will offer Ellensburg community members the opportunity to explore what it means to live well. Each meeting will feature several brief presentations before group discussion and dialog. Our first meeting of the year will take place on Tuesday, Oct 4, 2022 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the Hal Holmes Community Center. This session will focus on what we can learn from the ancient Greeks about living a good life. The CWU EthicsLab seeks to promote critical thinking, cultivate ethical leadership, and facilitate multidisciplinary humanities projects focused on moral and political issues.
