The public draft of the Ellensburg’s Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Sustainable Funding Plan (PROS Plan) is available for review, along with the park inventory appendix.

You can use this form to comment on the public draft of Ellensburg's Parks, Recreation, Open Space, and Sustainable Funding Plan (PROS Plan). This long-range plan establishes a strategic framework and funding strategy for the future acquisition, maintenance, development, renovation and restoration of Ellensburg’s parks, recreation facilities, natural open spaces, trail corridors, programs, and services over the next 10 years. The next Ellensburg City Council meeting will be Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting agenda is available on the City Council webpage. Attend in person or view live on the ECTV YouTube Channel. The meeting will be held in person in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 501 N. Anderson St. and via Zoom. It will also be made available live on the ECTV YouTube channel as well as the ECTV website. 

Advance registration is required to provide public comment or hearing testimony via remote meeting attendance. Once registered, you will receive an email with the meeting link and phone number (for those who wish to call into the meeting). a) Anyone wishing to provide public comment on Non-Agenda Issues (Item No. 7 on the Agenda) must: 1. Register via the Zoom link by no later than 24 hours prior to the meeting; and 2. Provide a description in the Zoom registration form of the topic upon which they wish to speak with sufficient detail to allow the Mayor to determine whether it pertains to City business or a matter over which Council has control.

The Rotary Park off leash dog park will be closed February 19-20, 2026, for maintenance. The park will be closed starting at 8 a.m. on 2/19 and reopen by 3 p.m. on 2/20. Work will include some minor fence repair, changing out surfacing, and leveling out some of the low spots in the park. Both sides of the park will be closed. We appreciate your understanding.

City facilities are closed on Monday, February 16, 2026, in observance of Presidents' Day. City facilities will reopen on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. The City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 17.

The City of Ellensburg is excited to announce that enrollment for the 2026 Ellensburg Academy is open. The 2026 Ellensburg Academy is a two-session class designed to teach Ellensburg residents about the inner workings of Ellensburg’s local government and the services provided by the City. Join this program to get involved and become a more informed and engaged resident. Enrollment is open to residents 18 and up.

Class is in session from 6-9 p.m. March 11 & March 18, 2026 at Hal Holmes Community Center, 209 N. Ruby St., Ellensburg. 

Participants will get a behind-the-scenes look at local government, practical knowledge to share, and a certificate and secret swag item upon completion of both classes.
