Utility Moratorium Proclamation Expires September 30, 2021

The statewide utility moratorium proclamation will expire on September 30, 2021. City utility customers with a past due balance will be required to sign a repayment agreement within 60 days of the expiration of the proclamation if unable to pay the past due balance in full. If you have questions regarding your utility account, please contact the City of Ellensburg Utilities at 509-962-7201.

If you are having financial difficulty and need assistance paying your utility bill, please contact HopeSource to see if you qualify for financial assistance. The HopeSource energy application signups will begin on September 21 for households with at least one person who is in any of the following groups: age 65 or older, under the age of 6, or has a disability. General signups for the new program year will begin October 12. Financial assistance -- based on income, heat costs, and household size -- is available for helping pay for heat sources.  If you have questions regarding the HopeSource assistance, please contact their office at 509-925-1448.
