Night Road Closures On Wildcat Way & Main Street

The Main Street and Wildcat Way overlay project work continues next week. 

Night road work is scheduled for Wildcat Way between University Way and 18th Avenue, starting Sept. 18. The contractor will perform roadway grinding, full depth pavement repair, and an asphalt overlay to provide a new roadway surface. This phase of the project is expected to take two weeks to complete, and there will be a full road closure of Wildcat Way between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Between University and 11th, the closure will be limited to 7-10 p.m. 

Night road work will begin on Main Street between University Way and 3rd Avenue toward the end of the week of Sept. 18. The contractor will be performing roadway grinding and an asphalt overlay to provide a new roadway surface. This phase of the project is expected to take three weeks to complete, and the full road closure will be in effect between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Side streets may be closed as necessary. Please be mindful of your surroundings as you travel in these areas and follow detour signs.

After both Main Street and Wildcat Way overlays have been completed, the contractor will install new pavement markings on a night shift.


Sept. 19 Construction Update – Main Street & Wildcat Way

Night road work is planned on Sept. 19 for the northbound lanes of Main Street between 3rd Avenue and University Way between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. There will be no parking on Main Street beginning at 6 p.m. Sept. 19.

Traffic control will have side streets closed on the east side of Main St., side streets on the west side will be allowed to turn right. Traffic will flow in the southbound lanes for both northbound and southbound traffic. 

After Main Street’s northbound side is completed, the contractor will relocate up to Wildcat Way to work on the northbound lanes between 11th Avenue and 14th Avenue. 

Pending the amount of remaining time in the shift, work on southbound Main Street may start. Please be mindful of your surroundings as you travel in these areas and follow flagger instructions.
