CENTRAL LOCATION. Just under two hours from Seattle and less than three hours from Spokane, Ellensburg is strategically located in the center of Washington State.
BUSINESS FRIENDLY. To start a business in Ellensburg, you will apply for an Ellensburg Business License.
WELL-EDUCATED WORKFORCE. Home of Central Washington University, 38% of Ellensburg's population earned a bachelor's degree or higher.
LOW TAXATION. Ellensburg’s sales/use tax rate is lower than the double-digit rate in the Puget Sound area, and lower than the average rate of other Washington cities.
INCENTIVES. Ellensburg is home to two Opportunity Zones for businesses who are looking for a financial tool to reduce the impact of capital gains. Washington State Department of Revenue offers many tax incentives for businesses.

REVITALIZATION. The City of Ellensburg created the EBDA over twenty years ago. In partnership with the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce, Ellensburg Downtown Association, Central Washington University, and others, the EBDA plays a lead role in retaining, promoting, and supporting economic revitalization in Ellensburg. The EBDA rebranded to CenterFuse.
