The primary responsibility of the City of Ellensburg Engineering Services Division is to provide engineering and planning services to support existing and future infrastructure under the City’s jurisdiction. This infrastructure includes multi-modal transportation and utilities (electric, natural gas, sewer, storm, and water). The Division oversees private development’s expansion of the infrastructure through implementing development standards, design plan review, permitting, and inspection. The division also provides planning, design, project management, and construction inspection for capital improvements throughout the City. These capital projects include road improvements and extensions, intersection upgrades and signalization, and improvements and extensions to the city’s utility infrastructure.
