The Water Division provides safe and reliable water for all residential, commercial, municipal and industrial customers within the City of Ellensburg through constant monitoring, testing, and system maintenance.

The City of Ellensburg's water system is comprised of:

• 98 miles of underground water distribution piping
• 2 above ground reservoirs
• 7 groundwater wells
• 1 booster station
• 1 transfer station

Cross-Connection
A Cross-Connection Control specialist is on staff to monitor backflow prevention procedures for all water customers.

Water System Plan
In 2008, the State of Washington Department of Health approved the City of Ellensburg's current Water System Plan.  This plan is being updated in 2013.
